PRIVATE ESCAPE 7 DAYS / 6 NIGHTS

Bergamo, Verona and the lakes

This exclusive escape conceived for you by Simone Zanoni is an ode to the three regions that surround Lake Garda: Lombardy, Trentino and Veneto. It starts in romantic Bergamo and continues on to the lakes of Garda and Iseo, small paradises for any aesthete and gourmet travellers.

Citrus-lined pathways, bay trees and bountiful olive trees surround the magnificent lakeshore. As do the elegant 19th century villas where high society would retire for the Summer, to enjoy the unique scenery. Verona, your final destination, is an enchantment. This famous setting for Romeo & Juliet has more to offer than beautiful balconies: palaces, gardens and roman arenas give the town charm and poise.

The region enjoys a mild climate, favourable to viniculture. In Brescia, Franciacorta produces some of the best sparkling wines, found on the tables of prestigious restaurants.

All around the Lake are produced white wines, dry as well as floral, Chiaretto rosé wine and Bardolino red with its fruity aftertaste. In the Veneto province, the taste of Valpolicella will captivate those looking for a more surprising experience.

Fish is the star of the menus, sharing the limelight with tortellini, polenta taragna and casoncelli alla Bergamasca. Garda is more specifically famous for its extra virgin olive oil as well as the lemons produced in traditional greenhouses.

Between Lake Garda and Bergamo, Michelin-starred Chef Simone Zanoni invites you to a gastronomic tour of the region where he was born and regularly comes to visit his family.

“My love for the Antiquity led me to Italy, my love for opera led me to Italian and my love for women led me to Verona. It is, for me, the most beautiful town in the peninsula… I surprise myself with how much romantic exaltation I can feel.” - Roland Dumas
